[apple-iphone] External handheld wired mic for Iphone 5

 

We do interviews at events that we post online.

 

We need a good wired, handheld (so we can use our flag) mic for our iphone 5.

 

We had used the irig mics with our iphone 4 which were ok.  They don't work consistently with the iphone 5 despite the work arounds suggested (plug something in the headphne jack, etc.).

 

Does anyone have suggestions?

 

We can afford to pay but are by no means rich.

 

If no wired options wireless is ok, but one more thing to worry about keeping charged.
