You could try deleting the Yahoo mail account on your phone & then reinstalling it. I also have a Yahoo mail account on several devices & have not been experiencing any problems. You could also try rebooting the phone by holding down the On/Off & Home buttons until the Apple logo appears on your screen. I'm assuming that you've checked Settings>Mail to be sure that your password is correctly entered.
