Yes, that is the case on the phone version of the App Store. But on the computer version (I'm running Win8.1) when clicking on the app in the update tab there is no information about it other than Name, Creator, Version No., Date and File Size. The area underneath used to have details about what was in the update and whatever other notes the creator wished to include (occasionally a message to do not update to this version). Now it's just a big blank expanse of real estate.
