Re: [apple-iphone] Moving songs from iPhone to new macbook pro

If she sync'd some of them to an iPhone, she could copy then off the iPhone (or other cell phone) to her new Mac with an app like Senti or other app. That might lighten the task of again moving her discs to her Mac.

But having a full back up of the music would be an even better option.

I would simply copy them over from one of my backups.
I presume that is not an option?

I would guess that Kathie would not be asking for help if she had backups.

To anyone who does not take regular backups, I can only say: please, please, PLEASE start doing it right now. There are many ways of losing your files ranging from user error to hardware failure to theft.

Kathie, how many CDs do you have? If you import, say, 10 a day, you can get through them. Make sure you have the preference set to Import CD and Eject to speed things up.
