The iPhone 6 Plus arrived today at my local Verizon store, 12 days earlier than promised when ordered September 12. It is B I G ! Very nice, pleased so far but iMessage could not be activated ,"pending activation". I disabled Find My phone on my traded in iPhone 5 ($200 for it! ) but when trying to sync my 6 Plus, iTunes says it can't until I turn off Find My iPhone. When I turn it off in the 6 Plus, it fails. The phone came with an older version of iOS 8, I'm trying an download/update of 8.0.2 to see if that will help.
I got a UAG case. I was planning to not get a case for the first few days while considering options BUT was too nervous after handling it in the store. The UAG feels good.
