Thank you, that worked. Originally I did not click on the + sign to bring up my address book. So that problem is resolved.
However, it does not resolve the issue of the app changing the entered address. I guess that I will have to create an entry in my address book if this problem pops up again.
Another thing I noticed is that the location I wanted to enter can be addressed with two different post office addresses (not street). The map used one while my address book and what I typed in was the other valid post office name.
