[apple-iphone] Re: Protective Film Removal

OK, I've go to 'fess up here. My son was visiting here this week and I asked him if he had used a protective film on his iPhone 4. He said he did use it, and it turned out that he used the same product that I used. Then he said that the first time he applied the film he noticed that, although he was sure he had done so correctly, it turned out that the film had remained on the applicator. He had to repeat the process with a new sheet. I asked to look at his phone and could see that there was a noticeable, but very thin, border around the protector. I looked at mine and saw no border.

The bottom line:
1. There is actually no film on my phone.
2. The scratch I was trying to remove by replacing the film is actually in my Gorilla Glass.
3. Before complimenting yourself on 'perfect' application of the sheet, confirm that there's a sheet in place.

Now that I've had it on for over 6 months I've decided to take it off, but I find no way to get a grip on it to peel it off, and I'm afraid to mess up the case around the screen by using a sharp blade to get under it. It seems as if there is an edge on the black plastic case that is higher than the protective sheet. Can someone here who has done this please give me advice?
