[apple-iphone] Re: Protective Film Removal

It's just a good thing I didn't actually write my best idea for removing that (non existent) layer of film on your phone !

You stated that you'd had no luck with sticky tapes. I wanted to suggest you actually super-glued a strip of cut thin plastic to it, that would have got it off by brute force.

Haha, Now I hear you've noticed there was no film on it at all! !

So good I was too lazy to post, and that you were not simple enough to have followed my 'advice' if I had.

All's well that ends well.

I suppose you will now be getting paranoid about all the marks on that FILM!

All the best to all on the list. ( this is my first post after joining a couple of months ago after having been seduced into buying my ex's 3G 16g. I've had a lot of faff getting it to work after I lost the iOS (4.2.1) completely after a reset to make it MY phone instead of hers. Had to download a 'dodgy iOS from a web site because Apple kept on telling me that the iphone 'can not be restored', what's that all about folks? A simple and intelligent answer might really make my July.

Thanks for all the iPhone chatter here, I've been gradually getting my head around how to think iPhone. I'm a PC computer user and find macbooks a massive windup for me and avoid them. Not saying they are not cool devices, just can't muster up the effort for another big learning thing. I spent 15 years gettin g my head around PC machines, from the top down to the ground. I like to be in full control over the machine, but, Macs, make me feel like I'm having the plonker pulled.

I might well have got an Android phone if I'd been up and ready for a mobile phone ( which I've avoided until now because of all the health hazzards with holding them close to your head etc, I use it for TXT mostly and almost never use it for talking. Oh!, and I've installed a few freebe apps to play with and listen to my favourite internet radio show.

Phew, I didn't expect to be writing a full manuscript when I decided to reply to that message, but here it is, errrr. sorry folks.

He said he did use it, and it turned out that he used the same product that I used. Then he said that the first time he applied the film he noticed that, although he was sure he had done so correctly, it turned out that the film had remained on the applicator. He had to repeat the process with a new sheet. I asked to look at his phone and could see that there was a noticeable, but very thin, border around the protector. I looked at mine and saw no border.
