If your phone and iPad are connected to the same wifi network, you can send/receive texts, place and answer phone calls on either device. This is a feature that's only been around for a year or two. My iPhone 6 and iPad 2 connect this way.

Subject: [apple-iphone] Receiving Text Messages
I know this may be a silly question, but does anyone know if there is an app out there that notifies through either iPad or iMac when a text messages is received.
I don't always have my phone turned on or close by so if someone texts, I may not discover the text until the much later.
Thanks,
Bobbie

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
