Re: [apple-iphone] Turn By Turn App?

Hi,

I don't know how these aps work, but here's my experience...

I've used MapQuest. I've never downloaded any maps; I don't know whether
it's possible or necessary. To my understanding it operates by satellite
and I have to have my 4S on so it uses the battery; I think it uses less
battery when I turn the 4S off but have left the app open. I've never paid
a cent. I have to recharge on long trips. Directions seem pretty good;
maybe not excellent.

I don't know whether it's free or not; my son pays the bill, but he never
mentions a problem.

If I wasn't so happy with MapQuest, I'd probably try Waze. But for now I'm
a very happy camper.

I've used a TomTom GPS, glad that's behind me.
