Re: [apple-iphone] Keyboard strikes

FUD! Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt!

Did you see the stink that went up when innocent tracking that Apple did using the locating service? Apple is not tracking you. If your government is using a program like Carnivore or NarusInsight, then you have bigger problems.

With some countries either trying to censor or shut down internet access, build a government controlled country-wide intranet, or forcing RIM to give them access to encrypted transmissions, I can understand some paranoia. These steps would take huge amounts of resources, but to monitor all communications and track all people, would take more resources.

Besides, if they were tracking all communications, the more there are the harder the job. Are they possibly doing it for select individuals. I have to use a currently overused term, terrorists, possibly, that is what Carnivore was designed for.

I have not heard of any country requiring a voice recording for a visa or admission. Give us an example Pabitra.

FUD.

However that being so how do we know that apple or the service provider is not secretly recording our telephone conversations and keeping recorded samples of our voices? already using triangulation almost the exact location of any individual using a cellphone at any point in the past several days can be traced so one is completely losing all privacy the moment one uses such such an instrument. Wouldn't you agree?

However ALL of your data on the phone can be accessed by the gentlemen at apple if you're using iCloud to backup! Similarly whenever you send an email your host (gmail, yahoo etc) is privy to all you're sending. The police have access to these computers and do actually use them to trace terrorists etc. Indubitably, the moment one uses an electronic communication medium privacy is lost.
