I use BT, have not ever used wired, the Samsung and Apple headsets that came with my

There are other kinds like this with no cord at all.

Yes, we all know that you can use an adaptor, supplied with the phone, but how do they stand up to regular use? I've got one to try even though I don't need one, and the cable looks very thin and fragile.
BTW for anyone who wants to know how its performance compares with an iPhone's internal DAC, see

All you need is the adapter and you can still use it the way you want. You can even
get a doubler that charges and lets you use the headphones at the same time.
Same as having a charger in the car and another at work, just get a few adapters and
leave one in the car, one at work same as the chargers. If your really worried about
not having it, they are so small, put one in your wallet.
It's Apple, you pay extra same as the lighting connector change before, same as the
new iPhone has "fast" wireless fast charging but you have to pay extra for the fast
charger.
