Thank you for clarifying your thoughts on both phonesđ I was getting ready to ask why the 8/8 Plus and the people who but then are so looked down upon.

Thanks for the math, Jim. I didn't realize it was way less than a cup of coffee a day at Starbucks. If some folks just cut out one Starbucks a week they would be ahead on the difference in cost per phones. I went with the X using the upgrade program through Apple knowing that AppleCare was in place. I mention this because a friend bought a phone through ATT along with their "Care" program. The phone had issues and it cost him dearly to have it fixed. It had something to do with the connector where he plugs it in. It happened again and they made him pay again. He could have had it all done for nothing under AppleCare and could almost pay for a new phone with what he had to shell out of pocket. If you use Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program – monthly payments on a 0% interest loan – the difference between buying an iPhone 8+ and buying a iPhone X works our to about $0.35 per day..Also, one feature on the X that didn't get the attention that it needed was the assistive touch that allows for the home button. A lot of folks did not want to give up the home button and chose to stay with the 8 over the X due to the home button. I do not think a new 8 is any less the great phone that the X is. They are both super fast and a dream to own. I just wish more folks knew that they had that choice.Cyndi
