I'm going to dredge this back up because I'm still unhappy with iTunes.
I spent three weeks out on the edge of the Internet and app updates on my iPhone were truly horrible. It took hours to update apps with lots of retries - not good when you pay for Internet access by the bit.
I load up my phone with podcasts and videos on trips where I often have little or no Internet for days if not weeks. By "no Internet" I mean no WiFi and no cellular. Nothing. Nadda. It's 1957 out there.
When I got home from my latest trip I took off all the videos I had watched and loaded up more for my next trip coming up at the end of November. I discovered that iTunes 12.7.2 so thoroughly ignores apps that not only does it no longer manage apps it ignores the space they take and the space their data takes. iTunes ignores the 15 GB of apps and data on my iPhone, showing it as available space until I try to copy something to it.
I want my iDevice management tool back.
Oh - there is nowhere on the Apple feedback page for iTunes for Windows and the two letters (one email and one paper (so I was really irritated to resort to paper)) I sent have been ignored.
