I don't mind not having the App Store in iTunes 12.7 since it doesn't affect whether or not I can backup my iDevices to my Mac.
—Jim, you keep talking about backing up your idevice to your mac, but you haven't answered my questions about how you do that. If you use iTunes 12.7 backup, I know it doesn't backup apps. But does it backup app data and settings? I could live with the unnecessary tedious time wasting of having to re-download the apps in case of a restore or upgrade, but to lose data and settings is a non-starter. When you backup to your mac, what exactly gets backed up? Google and DuckDuckGo do not give me any reassurance. Can you?As I mentioned before, I refuse to use iCloud due to vulnerabilities of such, but I want good backups for all of my data.
