Yes you can. I do this all the time. I'm on AT&T & have been doing this with most of my phones. I have a commitment problem when it comes with my phones. I bought a nano sim adapter from Amazon a few years ago so I can use my nano sim with my micro sim devices such as the Galaxy S5 & Note 4.
