Most apps aren�t updated by Apple, of course, unless they came from Apple in the first place; they are updated by the developers who created them. Those developers have had access to the new iOS requirements for months, so if they haven�t chosen to update, it�s on them, rather than on Apple. This would happen on any platform, not just on Apple products.
As it happens, one of my long-used apps wasn�t updated, and I�ve had to find a replacement. That�s life. I chose to update my iOS, and that�s the risk I took. It keeps life interesting. ;)
