You're correct, YMMV, but I also had issues. I'd like to see if we had other similarities.

Dave, how's the partner's iPhone 4 syncing? Are they syncing to the same computer, and what to what OS?

Where did you keep your home videos and reference PDFs? I assume the podcasts were inside your iTunes library.

Since you have reset everything to your liking, it is too late to call AppleCare, but may I ask that you send in a detailed Feedback?

iTunes has not follow what I believe to be the standard organization of folders inside the iTunes & iTunes Media(Music) folder. But then I have mine on an external HD, and have brought it forward since about 2005. I straightened it up, yet again, and it messed it up yet again.

Getting missing data back and going through all the settings took a couple of hours. I keep thinking of sending Apple an invoice. *grin*

In your place I wouldn't upgrade until forced to by availability of an app important to me.

YMMV and obviously a lot of people don't agree with me.
