If I remember the number that Apple publishes correctly, an iPhone battery is guaranteed to have at lease 80% of its original capacity after 1000 FULL discharge/recharge cycles.

If you run it flat by the end of the day, and recharge it overnight, EVERY DAY, that is about 3 years

80% capacity, guaranteed, after 3 years.
