Theoretically, PasBook allows you to organize all your scannable "passes"
in one app. A "pass" could be an airline boarding pass, a movie ticket or
a shopping card (Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc.) You need to activate
iCloud to use PassBook and a merchant must support the use of PassBook.
PassBook uses the IOS GPS functions to determine when you are at an
appropriate location and will display your scannable pass for that store.
When you are ready to pay, you scan the iPhone/iPod screen. Unfortunately,
as others have mentioned, PassBook is a work-in-progress that needs some
work to make it actually useful.
