Re: [apple-iphone] Phone Call/Maps conflict

First a nag.

Stop multi-tasking while driving!!!!!

A friend of mine and his wife, in two __separate__ accidents, were hurt because someone was using their digital devices while driving. Both sustained serious injuries and could have been killed. This happened within 30 days of each other. He was backed into while walking, and she was rear-ended by a gal that was texting and did not even slow while approaching a red light with someone already stopped.

Yes, with or without earbuds, the new Maps talks over whatever else you are doing. The volume level has a different control, that the rest of the apps. I was listening to a audio book, while checking out the new Maps app. I was only using the data and not the voice. I have a AT&T iPhone 4S.

I would be following the map with my eyes, while waiting to answer the automated questions to get to a "real person." But some type of noise was coming through the line, and interrupting the phone conversation.
