Last week I was working in Minnesota, and trying to catch a flight earlier than my scheduled departure. I was driving back to my hotel, and using my iPhone as my GPS service. I was also on the phone with United Airlines at the same time.
As I was driving, I was going through the automated service on United (speaking into my iPhone 5 earplugs and mouthpiece).
What I found was that the automated service would not work because it was catching the map directions, even though they were not aloud. I would be following the map with my eyes, while waiting to answer the automated questions to get to a "real person." But some type of noise was coming through the line, and interrupting the phone conversation.
I ended up shutting the Maps down, completing the call, and then going back to it. Fortunately I was on a long straight-away, so I didn't need turn-by-turn. However, if I had been in-town and needing immediate directions, I would have been stuck.
Anyone else been on a call while using Maps? Had any difficulties?
