I never understood this personal hot spot thing. One ad showed someone making one, and everybody around them smiling in gratitude as they connected to the internet. I am a pretty generous person, for the most part. But any time I think of making a hotspot - here is what comes to mind:
(1) The person streaming movies chewing up my data limitations
(2) An Al Quaida member looking up dirty bomb plans on the internet
(3) The kid download illegal songs
(4) A child pornographer downloading images
(5) Identity thief rummaging through my phone for bank passwords.
And I can think of lots more reasons why I'd NEVER create an internet hot spot. Any one of the scenarios above could land me in the slammer as the one who provided internet to the idiots.
So - why would anybody create an internet hot spot? I'd rather hand somebody the keys to my house than let people have free internet off my phone!!!!
