Re: [apple-iphone] Re: Organizing photos

As far as I've tested, you'll always have the library folder. I like the library folder when I don't remember what folder the picture I want is in.

What I'd like to be able to do is be able to download my photos from my iPad and iPhone to specific folders in iPhoto instead of having them all go into the general folder (whatever iPhoto calls the folder).

For weeks I have slowly been reorganizing them into folders and I'm so afraid the same thing will happen in the future. I have a lot of duplicates on my computer and one of these days I'll pull them off and put them in another hard drive. problem with that is that I rarely go back and look at my extra hard drives, but at least they are there as long as the hard drives don't fail. I'm starting to think that unlike "real" photos nothing is forever. At least with real photos I can put them in an album and there they are if I want to look at them. But again, it is starting to become a think of the past.

I don't know if I went about this the most efficient way, but I put a new folder in iTunes that says iPhone pictures and one that says iPad pictures. When I sync the iPhone for example you can go into the menu at the top where it says pictures (I think I am not into it right now) and then I check off the folders I want to sync with that device. I think you can also set up an iPad folder and then when your iPad is syncing in your computer you can choose that folder and/or other folders you may want to sync. I have a folder on my iPhone that says iPhone pictures, but what I found is that no matter which folder I choose there is still a folder that says library and it has almost the same pictures I put into my iPhone folder.. I haven't quite figured that one out yet. but I think once you have specific folders you can put in the pictures you want and then delete the picture in the camera folder.
