Re: [apple-iphone] iPad and Overdrive

Ok, I missed that it appeared in the iTunes Book Library.

You still seem to have 2 or 3 problems. It won't sync to the iPad with the method you want to use, which by changing methods you might be able to do another way. Problem two is that you are getting that error message, which comes up when ever you make a big change to what you are syncing, or are running out of space. And possibly the publisher has placed a restriction on the license with Overdrive. One of my favorite authors will not allow any of his work be played on an iPod, iPad or iPhone. Go back and check at the library site and double check that for the specific book you are having problems with. I doubt this is the case since you got it into iTunes and iBooks will not work on a Mac.

What specific format did you download, epub, pdf or kindle?

And you don't want to sync is by using a Play List, why?

You have a 32GB iPad, how much available space? How much many GBs of Books (all formats) are you trying to sync to your iPad? How many total GBs of all media and data are you trying to sync to your iPad?

If you are trying syncing more media than available space and still leave some room to work, then you get that type of message.

Remember what you can see, is not obvious to me, so I have to ask questions. I have no clue, other than what you tell me to go by.

BTW, my 32 GB iPhone only has 28.3 of total available space, and there is no way I can install all of my Book Library to it. And if I turned off syncing my music to get more of my books on the iPhone, that is the message that would come up.

As I said, I tried that . It appears in the iTunes Book Library,

This brings us back to the original problem, the Sync Books four the iPad on iTunes has become unchecked and if I check it I get the error "Are you sure you want to sync books' All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPad "Robert Poland's iPad 3" will be removed.".
