I meant two user accounts under Mac OS. Each one would have it's own iTunes setup. You would only need one copy of the iTunes Application.

I think you should be able to do what you want using just a single user account and a single Apple ID. Buying an app (whether it costs money or not) is one step in the process while installing it on an iPhone or iPad is a separate step. So you should be able to buy an app and only install it on the device you
