I heard from Australian cousins that Optus offers the best plans and service. Was not able to verify though.

Hi,
my daughter is going to Australia for 6 months.  She has an iphone on her dad's plan, but I'm wondering what her options are when she goes over.  She won't be travelling to the outback, as far as I know (G), but I've gone online and found different plans, but I'm not even sure her phone will work over there.

If she can't get her iphone going, what are some other good plans or companies if she were to buy an Australian phone (not iphone but a prepaid plan one)?
