My thoughts were, at an ATT store there would only be ATT customers.
At an Apple store, ATT, Sprint and Verizon people could all be waiting.
So many many more and longer lines.
So I would go to an ATT store over Apple, if both ATT and Apple stores
were both close.

Unless you want to stay home and wait for your new iPhone to come in the
mail, why order from AT&T instead of Apple? Personally, picking up my new
iPhone in store, I prefer to order through Apple when I can. The people are
friendlier and they know more about the iPhone. I can ask a question and get
the same answer from multiple employees. The 3 AT&T stores I've been into, I
ask 3 different people the same question and get 3 different answers. Learn
about the products you sell AT&T, BTW, I have AT&T as my iPhone carrier. No
account issue problems, yet.
