In fact, we cannot in general evaluate the *camera* itself, because on most or all cell phones we do not get to look at the raw image data.
What we get to see has always been internally processed by the photo software, and the choices made by the software hugely influence the final appearance of the image, whether we the users further tweak the image or not.
