A manual is a PRINTED book.
I need to be able to put bookmarks between the pages and go forwards and backwards between relevant items.
If one pays several hundred pounds for a piece of equipment, surely it's not too much to ask for a printed book telling me how to use it..
I'm restoring my burned-out home to functionality. I recently ordered about $8000 worth of major appliances. Before they were even delivered, I downloaded and saved on my computer all of their manuals. Searchable.
That's a big plus to electronic manuals I forgot, they're searchable. It means it doesn't really matter how crappy the indices are (if there are any) :-)
