Alice - The Samsung has a small blue light (about 2mm square) on the front rim. It isn't very bright in my low lit room and is inclined downward.  I haven't used it in a dark  bedroom though..

Yes I have the Samsung fast charger. Works great. It can be folded down flat or angled. I love it.
