Re: [apple-iphone] Adapting to new iPhone X

I have an Apple watch, an iPhone, an iPad, and a Macbook Pro.
Of all of them, it is the iPhone that is most likely to be dropped and damaged – not just because it is slippery (which it is), but because it is handled, taken out, and put away far more than the others.

For just under 9 years now, I have ALWAYS had a case on my iPhone – and not just a thin, light, brittle, "looks good" case, but a protective ove.

Not doing that feels to me like a false economy, saving $30 and increasing the risk to your $1000 device.

Right now, I have Apple's silicone case on my iPhone X.

I have anxiety attacks every time I see anybody walking about using their iPhones without a case. I understand the not wanting to cover it up but, I much prefer when my phone takes a drop, it is protected. I am one of those really careful people with my phone and even as careful as I am, over the many years I have had a drop or two that happened so fast. I was afraid to pick up the phone. I was never happier that I use the glass protector on the front and good case on the phone.

Except for several weeks in 2009 or 2010, I have never had a "screen obscurer" on my iPhone (or iPads). No serious scratches, cracks, or breaks.
