If your e-mail service provider supports IMAP there may well be a way clear. IMAP supports synchronizing e-mail across multiple platforms. If you are currently using POP3 and can switch to IMAP you can readily configure the clients on your multiple platforms (iPhone, iPad, iMac in your case) to delete mail deleted on any platform. It's also possible that you are already using IMAP and simply haven't configured it to do what you actually want.
This is not an iOS function - IMAP is a way e-mail clients communicate with e-mail servers. Your e-mail service provider very likely has support pages or a knowledgebase that will help you through the process.
Best of luck, dave
