I do think you will be happier with a Mac, but that is my prejudice. I-tunes does work fairly well on Mac. It isn't perfect but I can drag in movies, or books or songs from my desktop. Organization is a little problem for me with the playlists. I set up a playlist Folder, lets say, for a particular composer. I go to the entire library to find the piece by that composer to put in the playlist, but I can't just put it in my folder. I have to add it to the playlist which adds it to the list of all the playlists and songs I have in there. Then I have to go down the list to find the piece and slide it up to the folder in order to drop it in there. Sounds easy but sometimes it is not. It would be easier if I could just put the piece in the folder I created but I haven't found a way to do that.
Why not use smart playlists? All you need to do is specify the criteria and the playlists are populated automatically. No need to do any manual searching and dragging.
