[apple-iphone] Re: iPhone 4S vs. iPhone 5

I like the larger screen and 4G LTE capabilities from the 5. On its own was it enough to go from the 4S to the 5? Maybe. But in our situation our AT&T contract has my wife and me on alternating years so I go ahead and get the new one every year with the upgrade and give her my older one, the previous generation. That keeps her within one generation (not that she is concerned with that).

I think you'll definitely notice a lot of improvements with the 4S (speed, Siri, faster on the 3G side but no 4G connectivity). But it's also about 18 months since its original release. The iPhone does seem to hold up pretty well though. A lot of 3GS's are still out there 3 1/2-4 years since its release. I would think the 4S would hold its own for a couple more years as well.
