I downloaded google maps today. I was going somewhere and started navigation with apple navigation. It was easy. I called in Sari, told her the person whose house I needed, she said here it is. I pressed on the address, it went to apple map and I routed from current address and it was done. easy! ThenI went to google maps. and first of all I had to go to my address book to get the address and the copy/paste it and go back to my google map and I pasted it into google. If it did route from one place to the next I did not see it very easy. I don't know where the turn by turn navigation was... I didn't see it. I thought I read somewhere that is would speak the navigations. If so I didn't find it.
I didn't look at the graphics that closely, and I know apple maps is okay but rather rudimentary, but it works. I still like my other map called skobbler but in between uses I have to reacquaint the set up situation, but it works pretty well and speaks to me. The graphics of the skobbler map is large and easy to follow in the car. The apple map is okay but not as easy and not moveable if I want to see ahead of where I am. I'm starting to like apple maps a lot for ease, however.
