[apple-iphone] Sync iBooks bookmarks

When I was using iOS 5.x, I could read the same book on my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4, and the bookmarks I left meant that I could immediately go to the same spot in the book, no matter which device I was using.

Now that I'm on iOS 6 on the same iPad and on my new iPhone 5, I'm finding that I must hunt around to find the spot where I left off reading, if I switch devices. Is there some sort of fix I'm not seeing?
