Re: [apple-iphone] Protective Film Removal

>> I use something called "invisible shield". I cost about $20, no problems at all, but it is finally starting to come loose around the home button and speaker port. It is a bit sticky to the touch at first, but dried to a truly invisible coating. It has saved me from nasty scratches a couple of times. The iPhone may have gorilla glass, but gorilla is not impervious to scratches. My daughter put a nasty scratch in her 3GS. And if you should shatter your glass, a protective coating keeps sharp shards from cutting you.

I used the Zagg "Invisible Shield" screen obscurer film once.

It felt awful, it looked awful, if prevented the iPhone case from sliding on normally, and I *REALLY* disliked the idea of a product that REQUIRED me to apply liquid to my iPhone!

I removed it several days later, chalked up the $22 or so to "education", and never looked back.

In 1000+ days of daily use, my "unprotected" iPhone and iPad screens have never gotten a scratch or nick.
