Wifi on, or is it on and the wifi access point is quite a distance away?
Cellular on and you are far from the nearest tower?
 
The further the wifi access point is, the more power used, same for cellular
 
Got notifications on and plenty of these?
 
Got push email on?
 
Brightness high?
 
Any apps running that are actually running and not idle?

My battery is draining very fast. I have to charge it twice in a day. I
mainly use it for emails not so much. 1/2 calls in a day if received. This
is iPhone 4s 16GB.
