[apple-iphone] Waiting for items to copy?

 

Here's a new wrinkle. While performing a normal nightly sync/recharge, the backup goes smoothly through its several steps. When it reaches "Syncing Music to (my) iPhone, (Step 7 of 7) Waiting for items to copy," it just hangs up there. Disconnecting seems to do no harm, but it happens again. I've not added any new music to the phone or the synced libraries. This is a hard-wired sync, not over WiFi. Should I be concerned? It also seems to slow down the charging process, and there seems no way to abort the process, as there used to be. Thanks for any thoughts.
