I think if you help iTunes find just one of the missing songs, it asks if you would like for it to go ahead and re-connect the others. You have to do one manually and say yes to the prompt.

As my computer hard drive has started filling up, I decided to move all of my music file to an external drive and do everything from there. All the files were moved but iTunes seems able to find only a fraction of them, even though I've pointed to the correct location in the preferences (My Music folder on drive F). I could go down individually and relink the missing songs, but that seems to be a colossal undertaking for hundreds or perhaps thousands of songs. Anyone know how to get those missing links fixed in a much simpler way. I found a couple things in an online search, but they seemed to be talking about migrating and what to do beforehand. There were no directions involving my predicament.
