I have to day that the sound is MUCH better over the Bluetooth connection to the car's audio system than any earbuds I've ever heard.. And listening to ANYTHING on earbuds qualifies as "distracted driving" in many jurisdictions.
I regularly listen to podcasts or music when walking alone. The Apple earbuds are unusable because they simply fall out, and the SQ is not good enough anyway. There's a big market for IEMs that's grown up for a reason (some can cost over $1,000).
Driving is a different matter, and it's illegal to use use any sort of ear/headphone in the UK (and I suspect in the rest of Europe). Of course, fiddling with a car's audio system when driving is not a good idea either.
