Congratulations, Rich! I originally opted for the 8+, after having had a 6s, because I wanted a larger screen for my aging eyes. However, I just couldn't adjust to the larger physical size, so I sold the 8+ and bought the X and couldn't be happier! I hope you're just as pleased as I am; I *love* the facial recognition.

screen screen protector that even covers the notch and thin clear tpu case and
now setting it up.
