This may be somewhat confusing because of the terminology. Below, when I say 'Calendar' I mean the program on the iPhone (which I take it is the default); when I say 'calendar' I mean a collection of events grouped under a named calendar (e.g., Work).
I am not able to create any events in any calendar on my iPhone other than on Calendar, switch an event from this calendar to another or vice versa. I find the following instruction in the iPhone 6S User Guide: Move an event to another calendar. Tap the event, tap Edit, tap Calendars, then select a calendar to move it to.
However, when I try to follow this instruction, one of two problems arises. 1. If the event is created in Calendar (on the phone), when I tap Edit, Calendar is listed as the calendar. However, when I tap on this, nothing happens, and I don't get a list of any other calendars. 2. If I tap on any event created in another calendar, there is no Edit option available, so I can't do anything to try to change it. The calendar is listed with the event, but tapping on that does nothing because it's not in Edit mode. When I tap on Calendars in Calendar on the iPhone, all the relevant calendars are checked.
If I go to Calendar on my MacBook, I can switch calendars and then sync with the iPhone. After the sync, the events on the iPhone are in the calendar I want.
Is this a software glitch that needs to be fixed? Could this be a defect with my particular phone?
Any assistance appreciated.
