Re: [apple-iphone] iOS 9 Mail Issue

Let me take one more try at describing the issue...

I reference two or more email accounts from my iOS Mail app.
Let's describe what happens when I have just two... Gmail and Yahoo.

If I (or anyone else) sends a message to both of these accounts, then the two actual messages are on two different servers... one on Gmail's server and one on Yahoo's server, miles apart.

My access is via IMAP. The messages are stored on the servers, not in my device.

Now that I have installed iOS 9 on my iPhone, when I try to look at these two distinct messages from the "All Inboxes" view on my iPhone, it only shows me only one of them. iOS 8 used to show them as separate messages.

I have not seen anywhere in "Settings" to influence this behavior.

THAT IS THE ISSUE.

The consequences of this phenomenon include an inability for me to control the messages individually from the "All Inboxes" view.

It does not care where they came from.

This is a new behavior with iOS 9. It worked fine until yesterday.

The "All Inboxes" view in iOS 9 shows multiple identical emails as a single email, so I cannot specify which one to send where. I CAN go to the individual inBoxes and deal with each one separately.

That solves my immediate problem....

If Apple wants to fix it, fine.

During iOS 8, i have had problems with emails from yahoo. Are the mangled ones from y!? Like from a yahoo list or group? If so they may be ok on you computer.

Check in bulk or junk on your computer.

Sent from my iPhone, please excuse any brevity.

Hi Brent...  Thanks for your concern...

you wrote: How does a piece of email get mangled? Is it folded, spindled or mutilated? How about describing this better, please?

I plead guilty to sloppy reporting.

One time (yesterday), when I tried to move a message from the "All Inboxes" view, a few emails did get saved where I wanted them to go but the "From
