I Currently own a Mac Mini,MacBook Air I got for Christmas & I have 2 Apple Time machines both 2TB along with a Seagate 2TB that I use. The Time machines I use as Backups for my Mac as well as my Dads MacBook. I use my Seagate just as a External for Picts and various pics. But I've never had an issue with Backups on ANYA of my iDevices. MacBook Airs are getting SLIGHTLY cheap; Best Buy had a sale on the MacBook Air for around $850 for the 13incher plus you can look on the Apple Site under their clearance n see what they have there.

Say I have a notebook PC and a desktop. And I have the same library on both. But, since the desktop is in use by another family member, and I want to use the notebook, if I synced the last time on the desktop, then it wants to replace EVERYTHING. This is ridiculous. I could see if the iTunes were authorized to to different accounts, but on the same account?

Why can I not add one single file without it wanting to replace EVERYTHING? (I am told this is not an issue on a MAC, is this true?)

My last PC sync, the one where I said it never finished after over nine hours; I was trying to add less than 3 GB - this is a 128 GB iPhone with over 44 GB free.

I'm looking at MacBooks now. I know they cost more, but hopefully they will be much more compatible.

I WAS a windows guy. I always had problems and aggravation with iTunes. Uninstalled it many times when I was overtaken by frustration. The program just did not work properly on my various Windows based computers. I believe it is a resource hog to n Windows computers.

One day I got fed up with Windows, bit the bullet and spent big bucks (for me) on an iMac in 2009. I am still using this iMac and 99.9% of my iTunes grief is gone.

I still use a Gateway laptop running XP for some specific applications but I will not return to Windows.

My advice to you is get an Apple computer and free yourself from much aggravation. You can always keep a Windows machine for specific software.
