[apple-iphone] Deauthorizing old iPhones

I have an oldish MacMini that has topped out at Snow Leopard. So I'm still running iTunes 11. I would like to update my iPad2 and iPhone 5s to iOS 8.1, but don't have enough hard drive space to do it. To give myself more space, I'd like to deauthorize my old 3GS and 4S since they are long gone.

I looked at the "Help" in iTunes but only saw how to deauthorize the MacMini -- certainly nothing I want to do until I replace it with a new model.

Can anyone help me or steer me somewhere to find out how to do it? I'm not a novice, but not an expert either.

Cathy
