HRM I never had any of this running betas pr final on 5s or on 6.

Check settings. > spotlight and make sure messages is checked and high on list.

Change back to forever ?

Also forget and re add wifi. There are known issues with wifi in iOS 8. I had to revert to using my time capsule instead of verizon router at one point.

I am curious if anyone out there is having the same nightmares with iMessage and messaging generally that I am on iOS 8.0.2.

I am using an iPhone 5S 64 GB.

I am having three issues primarily:

1. I recently set my save limit on my iMessage to 1 year (from forever). Now I am finding some days that first thing in the morning that when I go to send a text message (whether on iMessage or just a plain text) that my message history does not show up.

The solution seems to be to reboot my phone.

2. I am finding that when on wifi the imessages will not always send. When I turn the wifi off, they go. (As an aside, last night I tried to make a voice call on Skype and it would not connect until I turned off the wifi).

3.I cannot search my messages either in Spotlight search or within the messages app itself. Searching only shows recently used text contacts. This is my biggest issue. I have done a fair bit of research on the problem and it seems to be common. Some have suggested changing your language and then toggling off imessage and then searching and then changing your language back to English and doing the same (it has worked for some) but that does not work.

Has anyone out there had this problem and figured out a solution?
