I have ATT also. Online, you can check your data usage for the phones that have been grandfathered in unlimited. If you are using more than the 30 GB they are offering, then consider other options. I recently changed plans without changing devices and kept the same monthly payment but went from 4gb of shared data (3 phones) to 40 gb. Could have gone up to 100 GB and gotten close to 200 for service. What they are doing is separating service from the device plans. The Next plan is for the device. No longer having The 9.99 charge for other phones. Hope this helps.

This question has been covered somewhat in the past weeks, but now there's an additional wrinkle, and I'm hoping that someone is enough of an expert to help me sort out the pricing…
I'm currently an AT&T customer - I have a plan with 5 phones on it. 4 are iphones and the other is basically a dumb phone with data blocked. The dumb phone is 9.99 per month,
It's a family talk plan with 700 minutes of talk per month, unlimited messaging and various data plans depending on the phones. Two of the iphones are unlimited data (grandfathered from early plans), one is a 2GB plan and one is 200 mb of data. The iphones are 30 per month except the 200 mb which is 15 per month, plus 9.99 per phone.
My husband is due for a new phone and wants the iphone 6. We went into the AT&T store just to look at them and were told that they have a promotional price on a shared data plan of 30gb per month right now - you pay for 15gb and get 30. It's one of the NEXT plans.
And in addition, I have an ipad that is on a data plan right now that costs $30 per month.
So, I'm trying to decide whether to change plans (which would mean the loss of the unlimited data on the 2 iPhones) or stick with what I have. It's fairly difficult to sort out what the actual fees are for everything on the next plan.
Any thoughts?
Patti
