Re: [apple-iphone] Re: iPhone 6 launch

I agree fully, 3 models is ok, they are already keeping the 5S and 5C for sale. At least the 6 Mini would allow better production lines as many of the same components are used

They may also review the top and bottom bezels, I see they are fully unchanged. Thats a nicer solution, to stay with the 4.7 and bring the 4.7 and 5.5 down in form factor

Another thought on the same lines. If you plan on only 2 sizes and want the smaller to be acceptable to people who prefer the previous size, you would pitch the 6 a bit smaller at 4.3" or 4.5" (or even 4"). 4.7" is halfway between 4 and 5.5 so I think Apple has left room to bring in a 4" 6 (or 6s) "Mini" at some point, and this probably depends on how sales of the 5c and 5s go in comparison to the 6.

I feel thry thought about what is the largest size that the 4" users will accept, and they chose 4.7. My 5S, my thumb can reach the opposite top apps, anything more is a stretch, so it may not be too much of a drama, and more ideal for viewing apps. They may keep the 5S for a good while, and possible upgrade the 5S and call it a 7L for lite, in order to keep the 4" current-ish. And see what sales go like
